Individual shade selection based on client’s color type for harmonious results.

Core color processes — lightening, toning, permanent and semi-permanent coloring.

Balayage, Highlights, Air Touch & Black-to-Blonde

Modern coloring techniques for natural and creative effects.

Working with Different Hair Types & Structures

Coloring considerations for fine, thick, curly and damaged hair.

Pre-Color Preparation & Post-Color Care

Hair diagnostics, preparation procedures, aftercare for lasting results.

Client Consultation & Individual Color Selection

Professional consultation, expectation management, formulation and final result agreement.

Mannequin & Model Practice

Hands-on practice of all techniques on mannequins transitioning to real models.

Makiev International Hair Academy offers stand-alone skill-building intensives and workshops for personal enrichment and technique development. These programs are not approved by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) and do not lead to a career training credential, diploma, or license to practice hairdressing in British Columbia.

A Certificate of Attendance is issued upon completion to confirm your participation and demonstrated skills. This certificate is not equivalent to a PTIRU-approved credential.

Refund Policy

  • 14+ days before start: Full refund minus $50 CAD administrative fee
  • 7–13 days before start: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days: No refund; one transfer to a future date permitted

Any intensive or workshop with fewer than 3 enrolled students may be cancelled. Full refund issued in this case.
